Science

"Curiosity is the engine of achievement."

Sir Ken Robinson

Intent

The National Curriculum states that a high-quality Science education provides the foundations for understanding the world.  At Milborne Port Primary School, we aim to foster children's natural curiosity in everything around them and encourage them to ask questions, take risks, experiment, reflect, make and learn from mistakes in a safe environment.  By following a clear progression of knowledge and skills, based on the National Curriculum, children here will build a bank of concepts and an understanding of working scientifically that will equip them for an ever-changing world.
